View and manage your alerts
The My Alerts page shows everything about your current and past alerts.
Getting there
Tap My Alerts in the top right corner of the navigation bar.
Active alerts
The Active tab shows all alerts that are currently active. This includes both seat monitoring alerts and ticket drop alerts. Each alert card shows:
- The movie title and showtime (seat alerts) or theatre (ticket drop alerts)
- Which seats you're monitoring, or a ticket drop indicator
- Your notification channel (push or SMS color tab)
Alert history
The History tab shows alerts that have already fired — seats that became available or tickets that went on sale. Each entry shows what happened, when, and includes a direct link to book on the theatre's website.
Manage an alert
Tap the ⋯ menu on an alert card for its actions:
- Switch to Push — shown on SMS alerts you manage, on the mobile app only; converts that alert to push in place (see Push vs. SMS). SMS is being retired, so switch soon if you see this option.
- Edit — change which seats you're monitoring (available on any alert you created)
- Group alert — set, change, or remove the minimum adjacent-seats requirement (see Group alerts)
- Share alert — send it to a friend so they get notified too (see Sharing)
- I booked! — mark that you got your seats; the alert keeps monitoring until you cancel it, and the menu shows Booked from then on
- Cancel — stop monitoring and delete the alert. You'll be asked to confirm first — cancelling can't be undone.
You can also Join a friend's alert from the top of this page using a share code. For alerts a friend shared with you, the menu shows Leave alert instead of Edit.
After an alert fires
When a seat opens and we notify you, we'll ask "Did you get your seats?" the next time you open SeatDrop — on whatever page you land on, not just this one. Answering Yes marks the alert as booked; you can also mark it yourself any time with I booked! in the ⋯ menu. If you didn't get them, the alert keeps monitoring.
Add dates
Already monitoring a movie and want it on more nights? Tap Add dates — below the alert for a single theatre, or next to each theatre section when a movie plays at more than one — to open the date picker. It only shows dates the theatre has actually published, so nothing you pick turns out to be a dead end. Select individual dates, or use Select all available or Weekends, then confirm to clone your seats and format onto every date you chose, including presentations that are already sold out.
Add dates is available for AMC and Cinemark theatres, not yet for Alamo. It clones from a push alert, so you'll need at least one push alert on that movie before the button appears.
Cancel several alerts at once
Added a bunch of dates you didn't mean to keep? Tap Select — at the bottom of a movie, or inside a theatre section next to Add dates — to check off the alerts you want gone (alerts a friend shared with you can't be bulk-cancelled). Tap Delete selected and the rest stay put. To remove everything for a movie in one tap, use Cancel all instead.
Alert expiry
Alerts automatically stop monitoring after the showtime has passed. You don't need to cancel them manually — they'll move to your history and stop checking.
